SHoP / Chess / Community
Chess, youth, learning, community and competition — all finding a place inside The House.
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HOUSE
The House has two identities. R&R brings juice, jazz, books, conversation and hospitality. SHoP brings chess, youth, learning, community and competition.
The two can meet in the same building without becoming the same thing. Chess gives the space another rhythm: slower, sharper, more deliberate.

INTERACTIVE STUDY
Start with the white pieces. Select a piece, then choose a square. This is a simple interaction study — the full game belongs on the board, not inside a marketing page.

EVERY SATURDAY
COMPETITION / COMMUNITY
Saturdays turn the chess side of The House into a meeting point for players, learners, young competitors and people who simply want to watch a good game unfold.
Tournament programming is part of the SHoP chess community. Check the events schedule for the latest Saturday details.

SHoP is built around the idea that chess can be a meeting point — for competition, education, friendship and the simple pleasure of thinking together.
A place where younger players can discover the game, build confidence and meet other people who play.

From first moves to deeper study, the board becomes a tool for patience, pattern recognition and conversation.

Chess does something unusual: it gives strangers an immediate reason to sit down together.
